PODCAST MEDIA

"The First Feature" is a podcast available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, where I interview filmmakers about the makings of their first feature films, their creative processes, their interests, and what they envision the future of cinema to be.

Guests have included Steven Perez, the first Atlanta filmmaker to make a studio movie with Blackhall Studios titled Burnt Offering, and Phillip Youmans: the filmmaker behind Burning Cane on Netflix. Phillip is the first and youngest Black filmmaker to win the Tribeca Film Festival's Founder's Prize.

I've been a fan of music for as long as I can remember, especially when it came to the cinema. It was only a matter of time since daydreaming on road trips, hearing the sounds and music connected the worlds of new places I visited racing through my mind, before I could express it through the medium of composing. Rancor will be my first official cinematic score where the music is composed of experimental natural sounds, winds, animals, and instruments with filters of electronica and synths to enhance the atmosphere and feelings of the characters and their world. I present to you two songs from the album which will be released along with the movie in 2022 so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about. I personally like envisioning what the movie will be when I first hear a soundtrack, and I hope this will bring excitement to you too.
